Andrea Anderson, APRN is a Board-certified nurse practitioner. Although originally from Council Bluffs she now resides in Nebraska. Andrea began her nursing career 14 years ago as a hematology-oncology staff nurse.
Deciding she wanted to expand her knowledge and better help patients, Andrea returned to school earning a Master of Science degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her first job in oncology was working in a bone marrow transplant unit, so she has a special interest in blood and bone cancers.
Andrea is married with three children, her two daughters love to play hockey and her son loves music playing many instruments including the acoustic guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and tenor saxophone.
“Oncology has always been close to my heart. I had a wonderful oncology instructor in nursing school who ignited that passion. I love my job because I enjoy knowing that I am helping patients through a very vulnerable time.”
